Porcelain Veneers

Ceramic dental veneers

Porcelain veneers provide durable, stain resistant and permanent cosmetic treatment that is designed to blend with a patient’s natural smile. Made from ultra-thin, translucent material, porcelain veneers enable Dr. John and Dr. Jeremi Arroyo to address a variety of dental concerns working closely with patients to ensure the end result is comfortable, natural looking and lasting.

A porcelain veneer covers the front and sides of a tooth, commonly used to:

  • Fix gaps between teeth
  • Repair chipped or broken teeth
  • Improve the appearance of crooked or misshaped teeth
  • Change the shape or length of teeth
  • Cover stained or discolored teeth

As with any dentistry, it is important that any underlying dental problems be diagnosed and addressed to provide lasting results, including porcelain veneers. As practitioners of complete dentistry, Drs. Arroyo takes the time to analyze a patient’s entire occlusal system and look for imbalances that will compromise results.

Porcelain Veneers What to Expect

The process for porcelain veneers begins with a comprehensive exam and consultation. In some cases, your porcelain veneers can be designed and fabricated the same day with the use of in office CEREC CAD/CAM technology.

The porcelain veneer procedure usually takes 2 or 3 visits to the dentist. Dr. John or Dr. Jeremi Arroyo will prepare the teeth for the veneers by removing a small amount of the natural tooth structure. This creates room for the veneers to fit comfortably and securely in your mouth.

The porcelain veneers will be fabricated in a dental laboratory. We will send an impression of your teeth along with treatment specifications to a highly talented ceramist, who will hand-fabricate each tooth veneer. It generally takes about 3 weeks for your dentist to receive your final restorations.

At the final appointment, Dr. John or Dr. Jeremi Arroyo will try the veneers on your teeth, make any necessary adjustments for a secure and comfortable fit and then cement them in place.
